It happened on October 14, my good friend Bner was in town to visit me. We spent the day shopping and playing when though out the day I was feeling worse and worse. By the time 5pm came around I was drained. I felt tired, ache, headache, stomach ache, and had a fever of almost 103! I went to bed early that night to wake up the next morning so sick! I made my way to the doctor for him to tell me I needed to take the Swine Flu test. NO FUN! They stick two "pipe-cleaners" down your nose until she reaches your tonsils. Even worse, the nurse seemed to enjoy it! It brought instant tears to my eyes. My test came back positive for the N1H1 Flu. The Swine Flu! YUCK! I was put on tons of muscle relaxers because my body took it pretty bad and tensed up really bad. Along with the muscle relaxers I was put on tons of other meds to bring down the fever, and control the cough, and help with the stomach issues. It was no fun. My poor hubby was so good for the first two days until he woke up and felt horrible. He slept in the office on the futon, and I in our bedroom. For about 2 weeks we were out of wack. We felt so bad. We were so sick of TV. I think I watched every episode of Super Nanny possible. Gabe had the DVR in his room... but I had the bed. I had not been this sick in a long time. We even missed church! (Now that's sick) I kept my self entertained with Facebook on my phone (thank you to all who entertained me via fb!). We had 3 visitors. Alyssa & Steve who brought us some soup, and Gabe's Mom, who came and stocked us up with Gatorade. The missionaries were brave enough to come by and give me a blessing. My father in law, kinda came by - he brought us some more sprite and Gatorade but left it on the door step and rang the bell. By the time we got to the door, he was long gone.
Now time for my venting session: I MISSED MY YORKTOWN WESTERN DAYS!!!! NOOO... See last years post here and here and here and here and here - YES that's right last years event took 5 FIVE posts. I have been looking fwd to this event all year and what does my Dr. tell me....NO I MAY NOT GO And under NO circumstances am I to ride a mechanical bull!!! WHAT?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I was devastated. I picked out my outfit 3 months ago! Kevin Fowler ... bull riding... parade... Cotton candy.... NOOOOOOOOO! While everyone was tweeting about the fun where was I?!? IN STINKING BED!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I am still upset!
Next - How come no one came to bring us the sacrament? Hum... Thanks ppl!

and Finally - we were supposed to have our foreign exchange student move in this weekend but had to postpone until the following weekend. Bummer... Yorktown would have been great for her!

Sorry you missed your cowboy fun...better luck next year. :)
I heard chicken fry today and thought of you...:)
Wow is this called binge posting? What was it 4 or 5 in one day? Sorry about the Swine Flu. I had heard conflicting stories about friends of friends that had had it, so now I know from a legitimate source that it is no fun.
