This year since Valentines day was on a Sunday I decided to do thing a little different and do service for some whom valentines day may not be so special. I invited the Elders for a good Sunday dinner, and then invited some friends who didn't have plans to come over for a fun night of desserts and games. (Yes I also invited them for dinner, but they didn't take me up on it) It was fun, the food was yummy! I has small valentines treats and just made it fun.
As far as Gabe and I, we did get each other somethings. Quick story: When Gabe and I moved in together we both brought certain things into the marriage. One of the things he brought in was this amazing all feather down comforter. I LOVE IT! Since we were engaged and I moved back to corpus, it has been in my possession. Its to the point now that I NEED it in order to sleep at night. It reminds me of my childhood. The thing is... 1. I don't like to share 2. its only a queen 3. Gabe and I are too big to comfortably share a queen down comforter. So... Gabe has done without. He has been sleeping with this small twin, hot pink not-down comforter. Its been like this for two years now, every night he tries to take my down comforter, but no so luck. So for Valentine's I went out and bought him a huge king size all feather down comforter. :) HE LOVES IT (now). At first when he received it, poor guy, his words where "so I can give up on the thought that one day we will share the covers!" Ha ha! My poor poor husband, see this whole time I was thinking he didn't want to spend the extra money on a new down comforter, when instead he was thinking there was a chance that I would share my down comforter. So we made a family decision and I have been more willing to share my down comforter while, watching TV, snuggling, etc, but when it comes time to hit the hay hes got his and I have mine. And I must say we have been sleeping so much better. Him that he has a decent blanket and me that I don't have to constantly roll my self up so there's no chance he can switch blankets on me in the middle of the night. (he was tricky!) So yes, we are all now happy!!!
As for what I recieved.... Gabe bought me a Harmonica!!!! Yay, I have been wating to play the harmonica since I watched Free Willie years ago. (I love that movie) So a few years ago I added it to my list of things to do before I die. And now I decieded to get it going. I have been practicing quite a bit and already know how to play, Happy Birthday, You are my Sunshine, and other little songs, but am now working on I am a Child of God. I'm pretty excited about it. It makes me feel so accomplished when I am working on something that is on my list. Thanks Babe!
Gabe BBQ'ing.... Hannah llike to watch him cook, which I think is funny!
