My Bishop at Work

One of the amazing things about our church is that everyone does what they do out of service! When we really think about that its a HUGE deal! To most members of the church, thier calling is such a big part of their lives and its all service. Sometimes when I think about this it boggles the mind that so many people are willing to do this. Of course when we remember why we do this it seems to un-boggle it. I am so thankful for our amazing Bishop in our ward. Being an axilary president there is not a bigger comfort than knowing that you have the full support of your bishop. I know that the calling of a bishop, along with all callings are inspired by the Lord.

This night I was able to see my Bishop doing what he loved to do. We took some time out and went to a Concert that Bishop was conducting at TAMUCC, where he works. When we saw the program, and it said "Conducting by Dr. Shawn Smith" it brought on all those thoughts. How thankful I am that Bishop accepted to serve in our ward. It was fun to see him as Dr. Smith and preform! His group did a wonderful job and we really enjoyed it. Thank Bishop for the invite. And to all of you out there that think hes a wonderful teacher, you should see him as Bishop! :)
